About Euchee Creek English Mastiffs

Family Raised, Well-Loved Pets

Our English Mastiffs are part of our family. This is the most important factor in raising our puppies.

Our kids, Laura and Chris began working with the puppies when they are born. Our English Mastiff puppies are raised here on the premises.  They are continually around both children and adults, and are well socialized. They are played with, petted, and admired.  Our English Mastiff puppies are lovingly raised from birth, receiving special attention.  They develop their own, individual personalities in a supportive, affectionate environment.

When it comes to temperament, the English Mastiff dog cannot be beat. They are loving, affectionate, and loyal family dogs.  They want to be with people who love them.

With each litter, we determine the special needs of the pups as they grow, and we meet those needs so that each puppy we offer is happy, healthy, and well adjusted.

History of the Rocky Top English Mastiffs
at Euchee Creek

We brought home our first English Mastiff at the end of 1987 and it was the beginning of a very special bonding between the Rushing family and the English Mastiff breed. We have enjoyed their company very much and we believe the feeling is mutual! Several of the dogs we have now are descended from our first English Mastiff, and we also have dogs we have bought from other top bloodlines.

Euchee Creek is the home of our own two champions, CH Timber Cove Nina and CH Rocky Top’s Dark Shadow.

Our son, Chris was a year old when we got our first English Mastiff. When Laura came along, the breed was already an established part of our household. We have learned from first hand experience that this is a great dog to have with a family.

Though we have been involved in showing in the past, we now feel that our time is better spent enjoying and playing with our dogs in a family setting. Our children have no memory of life without English Mastiffs. We have raised litters from time to time over the years, as it has worked out for our family. Now that our children are getting older, they help out a great deal, both with the chores and with real fun jobs, socializing, cuddling, and belly-scratching. Yes, I’m afraid they even spoil their “babies” a bit.

Puppy Health and Care

We work hard to provide our mastiff puppies with the best care. We work closely with area vets who are familiar with us and our dogs. We make sure our dogs are up to date on their shots and are wormed frequently. We check our mastiff puppies for anything out if the ordinary and follow up as necessary.

We know the problems with hips that abound in English Mastiffs. We work hard at choosing mastiffs which come from good lines without hip problems. So far as we know, none of the puppies we have sold have ever had hip problems. We are careful to feed them good quality feed and to provide appropriate vitamins at the right times.  We use up-to-date medical advice and our own experience to guide our work with our mastiffs.   Our dogs are OFA certified and we guarantee our mastiff puppies.
When you buy a puppy from us, we are happy to advise you as needed on the care of your new puppy. After all, he’s our baby, too!
